You will get to explore design processes at every stage, from idea conceptualisation to realisation, and graduate with quality design folios, including working prototypes. With our studio-based learning approach, you will work in modern design studios and develop prototypes using state-of-the-art model making equipment and facilities.
PAWA
Yap Shu Min
WHAT
PAWA is a smart knee guard that reduces knee aches targeted at the silver community. It encourages them to walk and be more active. With It also comes with the PAWA app for guided therapy exercises and more.
WHY
As Singapore is facing issues with the ageing population, most of the elderly experience leg aches while they are walking which causes them to walk less or use walking assistance.
HOW
The east-meeting-west combination provides electrical pulses, aiming specifically at the targeted acupuncture points without needing to suffer from the puncture while being portable. This stimulates the blood flow which enhances the users’ experience while walking.

Since I was young, I was intrigued by hands-on crafts and sketching. As
someone who is imaginative and innovative, I aspire to be an Industrial Designer which allows me to leverage my creativity and cater to the needs of
consumers.
