The goal that this project seeks to achieve is one that of a more sustainable future in the way we work, live and play. Making the switch to a car-lite precinct, people will learn to choose more sustainable ways of commute, ultimately promoting a more healthy lifestyle and environment. By supersizing the idea of a Community Library into a destination, the practice of exchanging and reusing books is brought to light as a more sustainable way to learn. To improve living in the area, the development replaces >100% of the building footprint with green spaces and green roofs. The landscape around it is also thoughtfully transformed into a new park.
