Off The Grid

Just like its name, Off the Grid, the community hub has a unique design that stands out among its neighbouring buildings, defying the uniform shape of rectangles and gridlines. The community hub, located at Lembu Road Open Space is designed with the idea of forming relationships with the migrant workers and Singaporeans themselves. With many activities, programmes and workshops for anyone to participate, it allows users of all ages, races and culture to unite and create a community bond. The design intent of this community hub is to showcase the main purpose of living, working and playing. The exterior of the facade represents going through life in a flow and the surrounding interiors complementing it, adding to its characteristics and uniqueness.

Naturally extroverted and conversational, I am able to adapt well in a group of strangers and even find common ground with them. I love meeting new people and learning new things about them. I am also an independent and self-driven person who is willing to go through the extra mile to learn and gain more skills in something I am passionate about! I have always been interested in Architecture as I would like to have the freedom of creativity to provide engagement and experiences to people. Besides Architecture, I like doing other design-related hobbies such as Photography, Digital Art and Graphic Design!
