O'asis

O’asis sits atop Fort Canning Hill. It is an urban oasis for people of this fast paced and overwhelming city to escape into. Terraced roof gardens with overflowing vines can be seen from afar as the building emphasises on the inclusivity of nature. O’asis aims to create a slower perception of time by creating garden-like circulation, allowing users to slow down their pace and connect with nature. Just like gardens and parks, the building has pockets of interest where the spaces for programmes are isolated, allowing for more intimate activities and interaction to happen between users.

Teoh Shi Enn

An architect has the ability to change the world because spaces affect human minds. Most of my projects encouraged relaxation and rejuvenation; as I believe that the world has become too fast paced. I am Shienn and I hope to create spaces where people can stop to appreciate the simpler things in life.
