The course integrates three important disciplines of product design – Arts, Engineering and Business. You will get to explore design processes at every stage, from idea conceptualisation to realisation, and graduate with quality design folios, including working prototypes. With our studio-based learning approach, you will work in modern design studios and develop prototypes using state-of-the-art model making equipment and facilities.
Osarabuta
Chua En Qi
WHAT
Osarabuta is a multi-purpose, universal pot lid that doubles as a plate, aiding users throughout their preparation, cooking, & eating process.
WHY
Washing up after cooking is a huge deterrent for many young adults when considering cooking at home. Most kitchenware only serves a singular purpose, and pot lids are no exception.
HOW
Inspired by the Otoshibuta, or a Japanese drop lid, the lid’s flat handle and underside transforms it into a plate for other usages, creating a functional yet minimal kitchenware piece.

Grounded, active (figuratively) and bold are 3 words that sum me up. ‘Less is more’ to me, and I gain many of my design inspirations from the likes of Nendo, Dieter Rams and Alvar Aalto.Grounded, active (figuratively) and bold are 3 words that sum me up. ‘Less is more’ to me, and I gain many of my design inspirations from the likes of Nendo, Dieter Rams and Alvar Aalto.
In my spare time, catch me with my numerous film cameras capturing the next best shot, trekking across Singapore, or DIY-ing some jewellery pieces.
